I plan to use the test harness drawing to wire the unit into my aircraft, is this the latest drawing for this purpose?
Will the unit perform without the EFIS serial and OAT connected? What features do I give up without these connections?
At one time I saw a screen shot of the WIFI interface and setup parameter page but I have been unable to find it again, please point it out if it is available.
Thank you, Don Pansier RV7
Great content material and great layout. Your website deserves all of the positive feedback it’s been getting. pokerdewa
Hey Don,
The test harness drawing is a good start. I'll email you an aircraft wiring diagram.
Yes it will perform without the Efis or OAT. We currently use the Efis (pitch angle) to calibrate the system. In unaccelerated coordinated flight geometric angle of attack = pitch angle. We calibrate the box by flying different angles of attack at each flap setting and then calculating a curve.
For now it's an excel sheet type of deal, but it will be software guided & calculated soon.
We're working on calculating pitch angle using the onboard IMU, and we're almost there. Tested in the RV-10 and will be testing it in the RV-4 today or tomorrow.
Program the Wifi chip per instructions, the to get to the wifi interface connect to the OnSpeed wifi network, password is "angleofattack". Then go to http://192.168.0.1/ in any web browser.
